ZOMG Challenges 2012

I'm overwhelmed. One of the reasons I created this blog was to actively do challenges and write about them.  We're barely out of October and I already have so many challenges I want to do - well, hope I can do.

Definitely doing that one. And goes hand in hand with:

I've been trying really hard to read the books on my bookcase but it always seemed impossible. Right now, most of my books are very, very far away from me (it's breaking my heart, I know) but I can make a start from those that are immediately accesible (not few, trust me). So I'm doing these as well:

The challenge I'm really excited about, is

I have so many medieval books sitting around and never had the courage to read them (and the fact that many books I'd like to see on this list are missing is adding even more to my TBR). Now is the time then! And yes, if it's medieval English, French, Greek or Latin, I will read the original only. If you can, why don't you do it too? ;)

Plus, why not: Reading Challenge Addict.

I'll be back with more - definitely more!

Note that I'll put them all on My Challenges page, once I'm sure I shall commit to the frenzy.

Looking forward to having you join the Medieval Challenge! And, I must say, I both admire and covet your language skills!! I'd much rather read these books in the original, if I only had the linguistic prowess to do so. I love the design of your blog, BTW.

Thanks for dropping by!

Oh, one of the reasons I collect these books is because I want to read the originals, actually! My middle high german primers are rotting on the shelf, I really should get into practice if I want to read Nibelungenlied sometime...But I'll start from Chretien de Troyes :)

I suggest you listen to Machaut's Mirror of Narcissus by Gothic Voices as you read them - medieval French score and lyrics to get you into the mood!

That is such a good idea! I think I should start with the challenges myself!
