Revival: from 2011 to 2012, through loads of stress, darkly

I know I'm an awful blogger. I have been swimming in the ocean of deadlines. I've been terrified to update ever since I left for Christmas and couldn't access the blog everyday. Don't ask me why, but the internets freak me out sometimes (so do deadlines. and people. and babies. and figs.). The good thing is that books never freak me out (unless they're really bad written!), so I occasionally disappear with a book somewhere...but I managed to put some strength together and here I am! Missed me? No? Well I did (missed me. not you. ok I missed you too a little.) :D

*cough* Now, on with some news/announcements/spam...

1. Happy New Year! Yeah, I know it's the end of February but it's not like it's the end of November or something...

2. Gender in SFF challenge now has a group on goodreads. People have asked me to make one and I was horrible enough to postpone a 5-min procedure until the moment I decided my levels of internetphobia were low enough...Sorry for the delay and I hope we have great discussions! Feel free to join if you're not participating but want to participate in the discussions.

3. I now own a Kindle. YES. I vaguely remember the days when a "electronic book" was just science fiction and I kept dreaming about how cool that would be. And now a dream came true. Other than that, it's immensely useful to people who...er...read. A lot. I use it for my studies, job and pretty much everything.

4. I am terribly sorry I couldn't participate in WWinter Readathon because that excact weekend I happened to be out of town. I needed a readathon to calm my nerves so badly, so I'll be here for the next one!

5. After this post I think I feel confident enough to start up blogging again. I'm involved with reading and writing all day and it can be a pretty lonely, emotional pastime. Sometimes blogging seems like another burden to what is already way too draining. So I hope I can manage this better from now on.

Take care everyone! :)

PS.: I know I forgot something in those announcements. I just know. *sigh*
