Random info I'm not sure you care about:
- I started this blog because I realized I spend too much time studying and reading. When I'm not doing the above, I write, check reviews, browse goodreads etc. So, having a blog to satisfy my narcissism was the only natural thing to do.
- Of course I have a life (no, really). When I'm not drowning among piles of books, I'm sleeping (or cat-napping), painting, drinking tea, cooking and baking, wasting time on the internet, geeking out - am I one big cliche? I'm cool, you should meet me. Check Bloomsbury, Charing Cross or Chinatown - when I'm not home (rarely) I'm over there.
- I am not a librarian, though I'd like to be one, just for the extra books I could read.
- Here you will find many books of gender and feminist interest, so feel free to browse if our tastes match.
- My reading lists do not include comics (except some that impress me). Don't get me wrong, I love them and do read them; I just don't want them filling my reading list, tripling its size and leave me wondering if I actually read the novels/non-fiction I wanted or just spent my time browsing through comics and eating ginger cookies (which is something I often do and is totally awesome by the way). Perhaps I will add separate comics lists some time.
- My reading lists do not include some books you do not really care about (even I don't); they're too academic, written in obscure and forgotten languages or they're yellow pages (Yes, I read these too sometimes. What? They're full of information!). I (usually) do include guilty pleasures, so, rejoice!
- My Reading Projects page contains my personal projects, i.e. not belonging to any on-line reading challenges - they're just thematic wishlists to track down what I've read. If you are interested in joining my endeavour and thus expanding one of my lists into a challenge, contact me.
- The graphics, illustrations etc on this site are by no means mine, even though I paint myself. I love fine art and this blog is partially devoted to promoting pretty things. I try to always put a link to the respective artist's work. If I haven't, I probably missed the name of the artist somehow, so nudge me if it's your work or you know who did it.
- My goodreads profile is friends only, at least for now. Feel free to add me though! If you just want to stalk me this blog should suffice.
- Reader, go read. Now. Read a book. Read a story. Read anything.
